This dialog is used to define the address of the field device, as well as other device-specific configuration items.
This address is used to map a DeltaV serial device to an IP address in the VIM.
Device addresses must be unique on the selected DeltaV IO Card Port. The device address can be any integer between 1 and 255.
This is an optional string to aid in identifying a device in the VIM configuration. This string can be 32 characters long.
This is the IP address of the field device, or the bridge through which the VIM must use to reach the target field device. The list will contain all IP addresses in the VIO configuration file for the parent VIM Placeholder. The address that will be used is the one that is selected when the button is clicked.

The following options apply only to Generic EtherNet/IP type VIMs. The options will not be visible on field devices for other VIM types.
This set of check boxes is used to filter the list of connections that can be assigned to this field device. If a check box appears next to a messaging type, then the Connection Definitions from the Connection Library of that type will be available from the list.
This allows CIP message routing to be configured. See Extended CIP Path for more information.
This enables and disables the DH+ addressing. If enabled, this address is used at the end of the Device Extended Address path to reach nodes on a DH+ network.
The DH+ Network link ID to which the field device is connected. This field is only required if the DH+ gateway device is connected to multiple DH+ networks.
The DH+ node address of the desired device.
Please note that this is a decimal number and may need to be converted from the octal number configured in the target device.
The DH+ network link ID that the field device should use for return messages to the VIM. This parameter is not normally required.
